Theatre offers children a space for empathy, expression and belonging. This session explores how Theatre of the Oppressed approaches inspire inclusive classrooms, using direct examples from the work of Augusto Boal and his Rio team. We’ll examine how role-play, improvisation and storytelling support communication, neurodiversity, language needs and social wellbeing, while fostering collaboration and identity. Participants can try adaptable drama exercises and learn safe facilitation strategies to make inclusion a lived reality.
