This session focuses on practical and evidence-based strategies to build functional communication for students of determination with additional needs. Rooted in the behavioral principle that every behavior serves a function, this session re-frames 'challenging behaviors' as important opportunities for communication. Participants including parents, educators, and practitioners will explore different communication modalities and applying proactive strategies to promote engagement. By bridge-building between behavior and expression, we empower students to participate meaningfully in their learning environments.
